Good design can make you feel like you're experiencing the world for the first time. I felt amazed like a newborn learning what a tickle feels like. The haptic feedback, the sound effects, and the subtle easter eggs all connect with users. I want to build products that pleasantly surprises.

On how to manage employees (players):
Begin with clear instructions on tasks (even if it means handholding in the tutorials)
Tie rewards to their input (catching a new fish unlocks a new dish)
Grant people agency to operate and make decisions (how many dishes to prepare? when to level up cooks? which diving equipment to upgrade first?)
Communicate the meaning behind tasks. Tell them why it matters (no matter how trivial the subplots)
Give direction, give freedom, give resources
