    Good design can make you feel like you're experiencing the world for the first time. I felt amazed like a newborn learning what a tickle feels like. The haptic feedback, the sound effects, and the subtle easter eggs all connect with users. I want to build products that pleasantly surprises.

    On how to manage employees (players):

    • Begin with clear instructions on tasks (even if it means handholding in the tutorials)

    • Tie rewards to their input (catching a new fish unlocks a new dish)

    • Grant people agency to operate and make decisions (how many dishes to prepare? when to level up cooks? which diving equipment to upgrade first?)

    • Communicate the meaning behind tasks. Tell them why it matters (no matter how trivial the subplots)

    • Give direction, give freedom, give resources

    You will mess up, so donโ€™t be bothered or blocked by one wrong piece. Keep building on top and one day you will clear it.
